Cinnabon, Pilot Flying J have freebie July 20

July’s month full of freebies and deals continues with a Cinnabon freebie Saturday.

Participating Cinnabon locations will be giving away free two-count sleeves of BonBites between noon and 6 p.m. Saturday, July 20.

At participating Pilot Flying J bakeries, the giveaway will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No purchase is necessary.

“We know that small moments of human connection – from a smile to a hand squeeze to a conversation – positively impact people in a huge way,” said Karyn Sarago, Cinnabon chief marketing officer, in a statement. “We want to encourage more of these bite-size moments of bliss among our fans by treating them with our own bite-size treat, BonBites, because Life Needs Frosting!”

Other deal days this month include: National Ice Cream Day (July 21),  National Tequila Day (July 24), National Lasagna Day (July 29), National Cheesecake Day (July 30) and National Avocado Day (July 31).

Already passed: National Fried Chicken Day (July 6), National French Fry Day (July 13).

Independence Day kicked things off with patriotic specials and discounts for active and retired military.

Plus, Chick-fil-A’s popular Cow Appreciation Day returned July 9 with a chance to get free chicken for dressing up like a cow.

Amazon Prime Day ran a full 48 hours this year on Monday and Tuesday, July 15-16and other retailers including Target, Walmart and eBay had competing sales.

Here are some of the big days for free food and discounts along with ongoing specials, available at participating restaurants. To be on the safe side, always check with your closest location before heading out. Also, some will require you to have a restaurant’s app or be signed up for emails.

Domino’s is offering 50% off menu-priced pizzas ordered online through Sunday, July 21.

July 15-Aug. 25: Wendy’s Baconfest

Through Aug. 25, Wendy’s is celebrating Baconfest with a few deals.

  • July 15-July 21: Get a free Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and free delivery in select markets on DoorDash with a $10 purchase using the code BACONFEST.
  • July 16-Aug. 25: Get free Baconator Fries with any purchase using Wendy’s mobile app.
  • July 17-July 18: Get a free Baconator redeemable with a special code that will be livestreamed on Twitch at

July 16: McDelivery is expanding with DoorDash

McDonald’s and DoorDash announced a new partnership Tuesday to expand “the availability and accessibility of McDelivery beyond its current offering,” the two companies said in statements.

Previously, Uber Eats was McDonald’s exclusive delivery partner. The expanded program will launch first in the Houston, Texas area on July 29 before expanding.

“In a few short years, McDelivery, has become an important part of our growth and our customer-centric strategy,” said Chris Kempczinski, president of McDonald’s USA, in a statement. “Building on the success of McDelivery in the US, we’re excited to make McDelivery accessible to customers on DoorDash.”

McDonald’s will be a part of DashPass, DoorDash’s subscription program. DashPass members get unlimited free delivery on orders $12 or more at select restaurants.

Abuelo’s: Every Thursday night in July, get margaritas for $3.

Applebee’s: The July Neighborhood Drink of the Month is the Malibu DOLLARMAMA. For $1, get the 10-ounce drink, which includes Malibu Coconut Rum and Tropicana orange and Dole pineapple juices.

Clamato: Get a free six-pack or larger of beer up to $6.50 through July 31 with a rebate on the Ibotta app when you purchase one 64-ounce, two 32-ounce or 1-liter bottle of Clamato.

Cumberland Farms: Through Sept. 3, get any small or large fountain beverage from the Chill Zone, including frozen HYPERFREEZE, for 79 cents.

Firehouse Subs: Through July 31 with any platter purchase and a coupon get a free gallon beverage.

Krystal: For a limited time, All-You-Can-Eat original Krystal burgers and fries for $5.99 per person available at participating locations.
