LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Barnstable Brown Derby Eve Gala pulled off a spectacular Kentucky Derby party Friday evening, including possibly its biggest surprise guest yet — Jeff Bezos.
Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon and arguably the richest man in the world, flew in under the radar and spent the evening partying alongside celebrities at the gala hosted by Patricia Barnstable-Brown and her sister, Priscilla, in a mansion in Louisville’s Highlands neighborhood.
Bezos was seen with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady at the 31st annual gala, which has been ranked one of the “Top Ten Parties in the World,” by Conde Nast.

Bezos bypassed the red carpet at the entrance to the party but could be found sitting at an elegantly decorated table inside the Barnstable Brown party while numerous performers took the stage, including Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough from the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone, and country music stars like Travis Tritt and Eddie Montgomery.
The easygoing CEO seemed to be in a good mood and was holding court with people like Brady and Bon Jovi great Richie Sambora, among others.
The Kentucky Derby gala doubles as a charity fundraiser and has raised more than $16 million for diabetes research at the University of Kentucky Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center in Lexington.
