A new doc takes a look at Tiger Woods’ rise and fallA new documentary on the rise and fall of Tiger Woods – “Tiger” – reveals details about the pro-golfer from people who knew him intimately. (Jan. 5)APThe Tiger Woods car crash thrust a little-known luxury car brand into the spotlight Tuesday.Photos and footage of the SUV that Woods was driving show a “Genesis Invitational” logo on the side of the vehicle, which was resting on its side after the crash in the Los Angeles area.Woods sustained leg injuries and was in surgery after the collision, his agent, Mark Steinberg, said in a statement. The golf superstar was removed from the wreck using the “jaws of life,” according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.The only SUV that the Genesis brand currently sells is the Genesis GV80. The brand’s other vehicles are passenger cars. The Los Angeles Times reported Woods was driving the GV80.Woods promoted Genesis last weekend during the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational, where the winner, Max Homa, received a new Genesis GV80.The 2021 Genesis GV80 carries a starting price of nearly $50,000. It has a 14.5-inch horizontal touchscreen on the center console and an 8-inch digital instrument panel.
