A dispute over the preparation of a schnitzel turned violent in the Bavarian town of Geiselhöring, prompting police intervention. According to Germany’s DPA news agency, a 61-year-old man went to his neighbor’s flat on Saturday evening, accused him of pounding the meat too loudly, and then verbally and physically assaulted him, slapping him in the face. Officers were called to the scene; reports did not make clear whether the alleged noise occurred during Germany’s legally mandated quiet hours (generally 10:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m.).
