2026 DFA Design for Asia Awards Winners Announced

On October 16, 2026, the Hong Kong Design Centre revealed the recipients of the prestigious DFA Design for Asia Awards. This year, a dedicated panel of 26 esteemed design professionals sifted through numerous entries across 15 different economies, ultimately honoring 209 standout projects.

A Diverse Range of Winning Designs

Among the six design categories, Spatial Design stood out with the highest percentage of award-winning entries. The awards also marked a notable return for projects from Thailand and India to the Grand Award winners' list—a first since 2020—highlighting the increasing design prowess within ASEAN nations.

This year's awards highlight the pivotal role of design as a catalyst for cultural exchange, economic development, and societal well-being. Noteworthy projects have offered innovative solutions in areas such as urban planning, product design, spatial design, and digital technology, while also tackling vital regional issues like climate resilience, affordable housing, and healthcare accessibility.

The DFA Design for Asia Awards has been celebrating design excellence since its establishment in 2003. To date, it has awarded approximately 3,300 accolades from participants across over 40 economies.
