Pakistan has deployed the military and imposed a three-day curfew in the northern cities of Gilgit and Skardu. The deployment comes after deadly protests against the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a US-Israeli attack. At least 25 people have been killed and dozens injured across the country.
Europe's streets were full of jubilant Iranians from the diaspora this weekend after US-Israeli strikes killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. "The dictator is dead. This is the best day of my life," one man told DW as he danced through cobbled streets in Brussels.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday said France would be increasing the number of nuclear warheads in its arsenal. The French leader was speaking from L'Ile Longue military base that houses the country's nuclear submarines. France is the only nuclear power within the EU.
An attack on several villages in South Sudan left at least 169 people dead, local authorities said on Monday. The majority of the casualties, 90, were civilians, with regional Information Minister James Monyluak Mijok saying children, women and elderly people were among the dead. Some 79 government soldiers were also killed.
